bella mia's boutique trunk show at chi omega house

last monday, i organized an event for my internship at BELLA MIA’S BOUTIQUE. we hosted a trunk show/sisterhood event featuring bella’s newest edition THE ATTIC (affordable, trendy styles for younger, college aged students). the trunk show took place at my sorority, CHI OMEGA and included:
-BELLA MIA’S ATTIC trunk show (20% off all items!)
-dessert party - sparkling cider and cheesecake bites
-screening of The Devil Wears Prada
i arrived at bella early to transport the clothing racks to the house. it was a great feeling to be able to personally pick the clothes that would be in the trunk show. we soon realized that the van would only sit two; the driver and the clothes. i was stuck in the bed of the truck like a red-neck on the fourth of july. everything in the name of fashion can be justifiable at some point, so there was no shame in my red-neck game.
once we arrived at chi omega, we unloaded the racks into the living room, barely able to set them down before the girls swarmed like a scene from Mean Girls. i wasn’t exactly sure if the event would be successful. i was hesitant and skeptical about attendance, but this was just insane. girls were literally jumping over each other to get to these clothes. it was as if we had hidden a half-naked justin bieber holding a willy wonka golden ticket in the clothing racks. i am strangely okay with this.
the girls were running to the bathroom, kitchen, storage closets or any hidden area they could to try on the clothes. they absolutely loved them! when the first person to purchase something walked up to pay, i may or may not have been freaking out a little inside. then more people began to line up. we had girls trailing into the other room because the line was so long. the event was becoming a success.
overdosing on mini-cheesecake bites, sipping on faux-wine and sitting down to bond over The Devil Wears Prada, was the perfect ending to the fashion filled night.
it was an amazing event and it could not have turned out better. in the end, bella profited over $1,000, we were terrified by Miranda Priestly and to this day, we are still looking for that half-naked justin bieber.
big thanks to anna anderson, melinda engle and kori mcgraw. this event couldn’t have happened without you!
