This past weekend, I celebrated my wonderful friend Yvonne's twentieth birthday. Her family owns a coffee house downtown and she decided to host a little dinner with a few close friends. She cooked a mouth watering meal for us as we ate at the store after close. It was a wonderful night of cheers, laughs, memories and HUGE food babies.

TIME IS CREEKIN' BY

Last time I was propelling down the side of a snow covered mountain, I was five years old. My father had a rope tied around my waist so I wouldn't fly too far ahead of him. I was still a champ. Tomorrow, I will yet again strap those skis to my boots as I go on a day trip with my friends to Wisconsin to ski. Let's hope I don't need a rope again. It's going to be a very eventful day.

THE BEST MIRROR IN THE WORLD IS AN OLD FRIEND

Someone once said "The best mirror in the world is an old friend". So far in my life, this has proved to be completely true. I have been friends with my best friend my entire life (20 years). We have cried together, laughed together, mourned together and rejoiced together. It has been a long journey. We have been mistaken for twins, traveled to foreign countries and have probably eaten four hundred boxes of macaroni and cheese together. Call up an old friend. You never know when you will need them.

This weekend, I took a much needed, heavenly trip to Chicago with Gaby. I was there to do a photo shoot for the women's section of the Winter issue of Impulse Magazine. Friday afternoon we walked around the city and met up with my friend Peter for lunch. Saturday was the photo shoot. It was a stellar shoot, even though it was quite cold outside and the pictures turned out great. Even if we did get yelled at by an old russian hotel owner for taking some snapshots in the hotel parking garage, it was definitely worth it.
